E-Bike Hire Terms and Conditions

  1. You (the Hirer) must provide valid Photo ID and Credit/Debit card when collecting your e-bike.
  2. This agreement covers the rental of the bicycle equipment for the purpose of the rental agreement. The word ‘Bicycle’ means 2 wheeled electric bike provided by The Bluebird Car and Coach Park, and includes two tires, seat, electric power, battery, and safety gear (helmet).
  3. No other persons may drive or otherwise operate the bicycle except the hirer. You must be aged 14 and over and you will not permit anyone younger to drive the Bicycle.
  4. You (the hirer) agrees to take care of the bicycle and any equipment provided at all times during the hire period and you accept liability for the full cost of any loss or damage to the rented bicycle and/or its components incurred during the rental period. Damage including but not limited to destruction of wheels, damage to frame and suspension components, drive-train damage, etc.
  5. You (the hirer) accepts liability for injury or damages caused to yourself or others whilst using the bicycle.
  6. You (the hirer) agrees to only drive the bicycle on suitable roads/surfaces that has been explained in regard to the bike hire.
  7. You (the hirer) must only drive the bicycle within your own physical capabilities. If you feel unwell during the drive you must stop and, if considered necessary, telephone for assistance. We will arrange for the bicycle to be collected.
  8. The Bluebird Car and Coach Park, have made all compulsory checks to ensure that the bicycle is safe and roadworthy before handing it over to you. Should you become aware of any faults, you should immediately stop and contact us on 015394 41765.
  9. We recommend that all users wear a helmet and other safety gear. Helmets are provided free to all participants. Helmets could prevent permanent brain damage in the event of an accident.
  10. In case of bike theft You (the hirer) understand and agree to pay The Coppermines Lakes Cottages Ltd, from 10% of the RRP of the bike as an excess (depending on the rented model value). Payment will be taken from the pre-authorisation made at the time of rental or by invoice on the completion of rental.

I understand that bicycling can be hazardous and can result in injury or death. I also agree to hold harmless and indemnify to The Bluebird car and Coach Park, and its employees and agents from any loss or damage, including personal injury or property damage related to the use of this equipment. I hereby release The Bluebird Car and Coach Park, its owners, employees and rental agents from any and all liability for damage or injury to any persons, including myself or any property resulting from negligence, installation, maintenance, selection and adjustment and use of this equipment. I accept full responsibility for any and all such damage, injury or death which may result.
