December and early January has seen huge leaps of progress on the car and coach park build here in Coniston village.
The steel structures for the bus stop and main building are up and while the block-work on the main building which will eventually comprise the Information Centre, e-Bike hire shop and free public toilets is progressing well.
Some clear, albeit cold, weather has meant that work on the brand new entrance on Yewdale Road has also made excellent progress. The new entrance is due for completion by the end of January.
Everyone has been working incredibly hard, including over the Christmas week, to ensure that the car park is ready to welcome visitors to Coniston by Easter. So a big thank you to everyone involved so far!
